How to begin your first game.

So after you log in, you'll come to the main screen which looks something like this:

The purple box is the Home button and clicking it will take you back to this screen. The yellow box is all the new updates and news you'd need to know, including the new champion releases. The white box is the featured stuff from the Riot Store which usually costs Riot Points but I'll explain that on another post later with Influence points. The red box is you. It shows your XP, RP, and IP and also has the link to the in game Riot Store, which is the orange button. Again, I'll explain this more in another post. Lastly, the green box. The Play button. This is the gateway to starting every game you'll ever play in LoL. If you're looking to start your first game, click it.

You will want to start with the tutorials that is highlighted in red. You're going to have two options, Basic and Battle. I would suggest starting with Basic and then doing the Battle tutorial. You start all games by hitting the button in the blue box in the bottom right hand corner. This was set up as I was starting a PVP game so here is what should pop up for the Tutorials tab.

If you go back to the Play screen picture, and you've completed the tutorials the next thing to do is co op versus AI which is you working with other players against a team of bots. Bots are computer controlled and are pretty impressive pieces of tech but that's beside the point. On the co op screen you can pick which game style you want to play. Classic is where you try and destroy the other teams Nexus and Dominion is where you try to hold the most capture points. I usually play classic and it's good to start out with since the tutorials are classic games.

After you've gotten a few AI games under your belt and your feeling good, you can move on to PVP games meaning you'll be playing against real people and no computers. This is where I'll be diving into the real tutorial. I'll be showing you on a Classic game on Summoner's Rift since it's an easy map to understand. After you hit the solo button which you'll need to until you make friends, you'll be put into a queue. When it says match found, hit accept.

If everyone accepts, you should get to the champion selection screen.
Your team mates will be on the left. it shows the champion they've chosen and their spells. The enemy team is on the right and you can't see anything they do. It's all a surprise until the summoning screen. In the yellow box are all the champions you can choose from. There are 10 free ones every week and they change once a week. I've bought Ashe and Morgana even though Morgana is a free champion this week. you can scroll over them to see what they can do but be careful, there is a timer at the top of the screen in orange. You also have to pick your rune and mastery pages which I'll explain somewhere else on here. Lastly, there's the team chat where you can strategize and the map you are playing is in the bottom right corner. Finally when you're done, hit the lock in button and it will switch you to the skin selection but you don't have any yet so don't worry. Then you hit the summoning screen and wait to spawn. That's how you start a game and I'll make a second page on game play.
